Week 14 - September 23, 2011

For those of you asking for it, here’s a belly picture.  I’m not sure if you can call it a baby “bump” because it’s really more of a mass.  I can’t believe it’s already this big at only 14 weeks!  It’s getting harder & harder to imagine how huge it’ll be by the time the babies get here.  I’m looking forward to meeting with the high-risk specialists next Friday, and hopefully will have more details to share then.  For now, go enjoy a beautiful fall weekend!

Week 13 - September 16, 2011

This week has been another exciting week for us with lots going on.  For starters, we have officially made it to the end of the first trimester!  Hopefully that means a little more energy in these next few weeks.  We had a doctor's appointment yesterday with Dr. Russo, the regular OB, and everything went well.  It was a quick appointment with no ultrasound, but we were able to hear all three heartbeats again.  At this point, the babies should be about the size of a lime or peach.  The doc estimated that I was showing as if I was around 16 weeks instead of 13.  Once we see the maternal-fetal specialists in two weeks they'll do much more detailed measurements of everything.  I was happy to see that I've gained about 8 pounds in the 4 weeks since my last visit with this doctor, so it looks like all the extra protein and trips to Ollie's are starting to pay off.

Also, I had a board meeting at work yesterday and made the announcement to everyone there.  Since all of them finally know the news, we figured it was safe to go ahead and make it "official" by posting on Facebook this morning...there's no turning back now!!

Week 11 - September 1, 2011

We had another ultrasound today and everyone looks good and healthy!  The babies were moving all over the place today - they looked like little syncronized swimmers which will make both grandma's happy!  Below are the lastest pictures...
