2012 Review - November

It's hard to believe, but the boys will be turning one next week!  I know I've been terrible at keeping this blog updated, so I'll try to give you a quick summary of what we've been up to these past few months.  I last wrote about Pumpkinfest, so let's continue on to November...

The boys were excited about Election day!
They dressed in red & blue for the occasion
By this time in November, John was zooming all over the place but Andrew was not yet crawling.  This led to some unfair wrestling matches, but Andrew was always a good sport...

While the Chicago Bears ended up with a disappointing season, the boys still had a good time watching football with friends Reed and Linnea.

As you can see in the pictures below, John likes to get into mischief.  Apparently this gate isn't helping...

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Twilight books and movies.  This November, several other "Twi-hards" came over to party before going to the midnight premiere of the final movie.  Turns out that Andrew and John love Twilight too! They decided to skip the movie and stay home with Grandpa, but made it clear that they're both on Team Renesmee.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year - 2012 definitely brought many things to be thankful for!  Here are some of the highlights from the holiday...

The boys took their longest car ride to-date.  We all piled in the minivan for a trip to Galesburg.  It's amazing how much "stuff" we packed for just one afternoon, but it was totally worth it!
Post-turkey football time.

And finally to wrap up November, I had a wonderful girls-day-out in downtown Chicago with my mom and aunt.  The boys stayed home with Dad while us girls did some shopping, had lunch in the Walnut Room at Marshall Fields (no, I will not call it Macy's!), and visited the German Christkindlmarket.  It was a nice break for me and a fun way to kick off the Christmas season!

That's all for now.  December photo's coming soon!
